This painting draws inspiration from a dream of another artwork- a dream that reimagined the essence of waters movement and light. Influenced by the work of Matthew Wong, whose oil on linen pieces have long captivated my imagination, this work channels the vigorous rush of water rendered in lush green tones. The lake itself is depicted as a vast, almost blinding expanse of white, creating a striking interplay between luminosity and shadow. On the far bank, a small red house offers a touch of warmth and narrative, while a foreground mound of trees is rendered in a stylized manner, evoking a sense of mystery and impermanence.
